It is 2019 and I have to say so far I have had days where I feel on top of things and some where I was positive the world was out to get me. So here is what you can expect for the new year.
1. New releases: Some of you may have already noticed the release of Alice's Ivyland, well there are plenty more books coming your way.
Other than Alice is bad wolf the 3rd installment of the Animal Within series. It is a continuous story line but with different main characters and you should read them in order or you will miss things. Also this one has gone from naughty romance to erotica. You have been forewarned.
Shifting Heroes is the next installment to the Shifting Blood series. It is unique because it is told from Brian's point of view not Beth. She is in the story, promise, this is just a result of how Shifting Truth ended.
Empress...the last book in the Champion series. This one was intense for me because so many shocking moments I hadn't planned on ended up being added to the series. It is my first completed series and thus I have a bit of book hangover. I still miss the characters. It is time to move on though.
Rooming with the Supernatural is book 2 of the Hidden World trilogy. Honestly when I wrote book 1 it was going to be a single. But the characters would not shut up so I ended up planning 2 more books and going back to change a bit of things in book 1. Because of that book 1 is a bit of a mess and is going to an editor ASAP. I already had it reformatted but my editor was busy with my newest release and Bad Wolf. So book 1 will soon flow much better.
I also have 3 anthology pieces coming out. 1 thriller and 1 horror (same anthology) in a fairy tale anthology and a piece in a classics anthology. I am doing a clean young adult high school Shakespeare interpretation. More on all 3 later.
2. Other than writing my new stuff I will be updating my old stuff, and expanding my marketing. I hope to join some events and do some giveaways (swag, ebooks, maybe some other authors books I find cool).
3. On top of that I home school my son. It is a full time job on its own. But he is super smart and zips along allowing me more time for writing.
4. We are trying to buy a house. That's right, hopefully soon, I will be moving into a house. We are tired of apartment living. The people above us are heavy steppers and up til all hours. I sleep a few hours at night and a few hours in daytime because sadly I am a light sleeper so they wake me often. Also we just want a space our own. My husband likes to garden vegetables (they all taste better from the garden than any store I swear). I like to keep flowers. And we want a section of lawn for our son to play outside. Not to mention I am noticing that an office space might be a definite positive because the boys, as much as I love them, are intrusive as heck when I sit and try to focus.
Some of you may remember that last year my old fluffball of a cat passed and a little while later (when my family could no longer take my anxiety ridden depressed self) we got 2 new kittens. They have settled in, claimed the place, and turned into little demons. Fast growing little demons that think fighting over my lap, on my lap, is great fun. Even better when I already have my laptop on my lap...sigh. I love them but sometimes I wonder why I thought kittens were an awesome idea lol. So cute cat pictures will wrap this up. The top one is Diana, the Bottom is Freya. Cute right? DON'T FALL FOR IT!!!!
I mentioned earlier on that my sales for other platforms were not making up for my missing out on KU readers. So everything is back on KU and coming down from other sites. Sorry those of you that read on other platforms. Maybe consider doing the read and review next time I send out an email asking for readers. Sorry to those this pushes out but for those of you that live on KU welcome to a full inventory.
So Alice's Ivyland is up for pre-order. Take advantage now because once it is no longer pre-order it will be $1.99
As you all know I put my series on multiple platforms so that it could reach a wider audience. Well sales so far are not worth what I am losing in KU pages so at the end of this year if things have not improved I am putting them all exclusively on amazon again. Sorry buyers of other platforms but this is my income and if its not enough to surpass kindle KU page reading its not worth it.
I am lowering my e-book prices for all of December. 99 cents for the entire month! A book sale for the holidays. Happy happy holidays to one and all!
Coming November 1st and available for preorder!
Last year Bethany was betrayed by her partner, kidnapped by her partner’s boss, and drugged. Something she is still feeling the after effects of. She also got into a relationship with Brian, a geeky vampire she just can’t seem to stay away from and owes her life to. After a nice vacation in the tropics, she is feeling ready to continue on with her life. She throws herself into her work, including a job to find out if her undead grandmother is insane and needs to be killed.
It's just her luck that while dealing with all that her dead partner is back and looking for vengeance. You wouldn’t think a ghost could be so much trouble for a hybrid like her but he isn’t a normal ghost, he’s the ghost of a Fae and it takes a special type of exorcism to get rid of them. It’s up to Bethany, Jason, and Brian to find the secrets of an ancient ritual to send Kyle to the ever after. That is if she does not go insane first.
The giveaway is closed and I will be picking winners and emailing them the winner link. If you see your name below keep your eyes open for an email with a link to claim your prize!
You will likely hear from me very little for a while. My furbaby, that I have been with longer than hubby or kid, has cancer and is receiving care at home. Basically, a home hospice to make him comfortable until he passes so we can spend what little time he has left with him. Fox still seems normal. He is not in any pain and he still cuddles and plays with us. They said he will last about a month, 2 weeks if we unlucky, 6 if we very lucky. All I want to do is cry.
Work will be on the back burner for now. There is also Halloween, November 6th is my son's bday, then there's Thanksgiving, and last but not least X-mas. So if you need me pm me but do not be surprised if I don't respond for a few days. I have a lot on my plate and right now family is the top priority.
I have a few newsletters set up to go out when the time is right, new release announcements and such. Other than that I will be scarce until the new year.
So remember that apple picking I did? I have so many apples! I made homemade applesauce, we ate apples, and I made apple pie. Still have soooooo many. Send recipes please! Any apple recipe you have tried and loved! We have a variety of kinds so if it requires a specific apple feel free to mention that too!
I have been busy. 3 out 5 of the books coming out next year have the 1st draft done and are with the editor (who is cursing my name for popping them out so quickly).
I am getting covers for all the books being released now through 2021. You may have seen them on the series page or on the home page being added as I get them. So many pretties. I like having the covers early it will make marketing easier (since a cover required for that).
On a personal note my cat is on a new medication. I am hoping for the best. But just in case he needs a transplant anyone know where to buy pet organs? There is a black market for human organs so there has to be one for cats....I mean everyone loves their pets. ;) I did tell the vet if my cat needed a transplant to find one with the right blood type and I would scrap it for parts. Anything it takes. They told my cat not to be mad that I brought him to the vets because I loved him...a lot. There is no price to high to make my baby better (my hubby says we should stop just short of bankruptcy and I said bring on the bankruptcy my kitty gonna be happy and healthy).
I am looking forward to autumn. My son, bestie and I have already gone apple picking for the early bird apples. We are going again in October. I have ordered our Halloween costumes as well. (My almost 6 year old son picks the theme). I know its only September but I hate waiting until everything is gone and if they send the wrong sizes I like having time to correct the issue. Anyway my son is going to be squirtle and then wear the outfit as pjs (double duty = awesome) and I shall be charmander (also one piece pj that I plan to live in all winter). My bestie will be pikachu.
We have yet to convince the hubby to trick or treat with us and dress up. He does however loves the pumpkin picking then carving process. He is really good at it so that likely helps. I like the scooping pumpkin guts out. Hubby always laughs saying I'm am a terrible girl because I love getting dirty. I jump in mud puddles, love making meatloaf because you use your hands to mix it and other weird things like that. I prefer to describe it as being connected to my inner child.
Well happy upcoming autumn. Feel free to share costume ideas and or pics. We are open to ideas for next year (we really love Halloween). Below you will see my sons and mine for this year. (not us the amazon pics)

Tiffany Lang hit the jackpot when she married her college sweetheart. For seven years, she had it all; a successful husband, beautiful home, and an adorable son. But her winning streak came to a heartbreaking end when she discovered her husband balls-deep in another woman. Nine months later, Tiffany is divorced and adjusting to life as a single parent under the ever-flashing lights of Las Vegas. With her son now spending half his time at her ex’s, she longs for something to keep her busy. At the suggestion of her best friend, she takes a job as a cocktail waitress at one of Sin City's hottest establishments: Azul Cielo Casino.
Carter Jackson, a prominent entertainment lawyer from LA, is known as a high roller at Azul Cielo Casino, hosting private poker nights for his colleagues and sparing no expense. A last-minute staffing change puts Tiffany front and center at one of these gatherings, where she meets Carter. Their attraction to one another is instant and palpable, yet Tiffany vows to keep things between them professional. Carter’s charming persistence eventually wears her down and she agrees to meet for coffee. A harmless enough first date, right? Wrong. The line between ‘professional’ and ‘personal’ is quickly erased.
Life with a high roller is anything but boring. Lavish parties, wild, unhinged sex. But then, something changes, raising the stakes in their relationship. And while Carter’s going all-in, willing to take the biggest of gambles on true love, Tiffany is hesitant. The sting of betrayal from her cheating ex is still there, holding her back. But the bet’s on her now. Will Tiffany call to see if Carter’s bluffing, and take a chance on love again? Or, will she fold and walk away from the table with nothing?
About The Author:
ML Preston was born and raised in Oklahoma City, where she learned early on that she had a gift for bringing worlds to life with her words. An avid and voracious reader, she was encouraged to nurture her active imagination and quickly found a passion for storytelling. Inspired by her own personal love story, she began to write the voices in her head, embarking on a journey to share her stories. She spins tales of passion and romance where the lines between race and creed, physical perfection and social norms disappear in the face of love. Tales of real love; erotic connections with a heart and soul that everyone can relate to. She now makes a home in Texas with her husband and three children, who keep her grounded when the voices call on her to tell their story. And they never stop calling.

I love to write. In my spare time I nerd out on manga and anime. I read...a lot. When I am pried away from that I like photography (by that I mean a digital camera that I use to document my family's life... obsessively so). I also like nature. I am told I am like a puppy in the fact that if I do not get my daily walk in I am unbearable to be around.
