Does anyone else have an obsession with pinterest? I use it for inspirational ideas on what my characters/landscapes look like, quotes that fit their personalities, and so on. It is a good way to see what I am working on (not counting the continuation of all my different series since those covers are already pretty much set up lol). I have multiple boards for 2 different books right now.
This is going to be an informational post. To start with my cover artist Lola is having a sale on premades! They change the title and author and bam its all yours. The sales price are $10 and two for $15 (this be the price for ebook cover only). $75 Deluxe (includes Teaser, Profile Pic, Facebook Banner) She also has book wraps (front and back of a paperback only). Full wraps are $20.

Below you will see an example. I bought this one for a project I am working on now. It is untitled (working title is Double agent) but I saw it and thought that will so work for this story....So I got it! Which brings us to the part about what I am up to. That will be explained in more detail below the pic.
Well obviously there is the spy book. It is kind of a sexy spy romance which is fun and different for me but a nice break because the other thing I am working on is draining. It has actually taken a couple of years to go at and I still have a couple of chapters left. Let me explain.
First of all I started it before I had a lot of time to write, when it was a hobby not something I tried to make money off of. Second because it is hard to get through. It is nothing like anything else I have written before. At face value its an alien vs human space battle book. Underneath is a black, white and all the grey in between book. It forces you to see so many points of view and so many scenarios you are no longer sure what good and evil really are. Or if there is even such a thing. It shows the psychological consequences of horrible things being done to people and the many ways to respond. Torture, the creation of the perfect killing machine.
It is very no holds bar. I struggle with this because I like to think of the world as clear right and wrong (I am the helping others putting them before myself type). So I gathered stories from people about horrible things they had suffered. And the damage that would never leave. I used it for inspiration to my story on a mental and emotional level.
By the time it will be done it will easily be 100k words, if not more. Its going to be hard finding beta readers but in the end I think the book will be worth it. I hope I am a good enough writer that in the end everyone who reads it has points where they feel sorry for Helen, are happy for her and hate her depending on the part they are at. (Helen is the main character). I want dynamic and it has taken me a very long time but I believe I am accomplishing a "question the world we live in" feeling with this book.
Some of you may have noticed I had a preorder up.
Well today is the release day!!
Happy release day to World's Away From Home!
I just love the cover! I hope all of you enjoy the book! It is one of my favorite to be honest. One of the most fun to write, one of the most fun to reread while I did my own edits. It was a fun process all around.

Pay What You Want Promotion
We just found out that Logan's surgery will cost us about $9,500 - a little over 3x the high end of what we'd expected the surgery to cost (because we hadn't factored in we were given a price for the operation but not for the hospital stay, anesthesiologist, consultation, follow up care, etc).
So, I decided to take a sucky situation and try to make the best most of it. I'll be offering a variety of opportunities I don't usually offer wherever I have the spare time to do so in order to raise those funds between now and his surgery (which is tentatively scheduled for January 2018, so that gives us some time to make things happen!)
The first thing that came to mind was a popular promotion we've done in the past: Our PAY WHAT YOU WANT promotion. That means you can chose how much you feel comfortable paying for this promotion.
The promotion will include your novel featured in the genreCRAVE newsletter to 90,000 subscribers. Your book will be featured in a Newsletter of no more than 10 books per newsletter. You will be emailed to alert you when your feature will be sent so you can make sales arrangements for your title if you wish.
To keep things fair, larger donations will receive priority placement in these newsletters. Some may even be selected as a solo feature or highlighted feature within the newsletter.
To participate, please send your payment to firstname.lastname@example.org via Paypal and then fill out this form:
So I have been cleaning, organizing and trying to purge unneeded stuff. Well I came across some of my earliest writing. As a child (I mean early grade school) when our teachers would give us a writing topic or told us to write a paragraph describing a picture I would instead write poetry. Yes I know most 6-8 year olds do not usually turn to poetry for description but I guess I was never much of a normal child lol. So I thought I would share some. (Forgive the titles remember I was really young and some were based off a picture I was supposed to describe)
This first one was a writing prompt our teacher asked for while we sat outside. I believe I was 7 or 8ish.
Colors and Sounds of Nature
The baby blue of the sky,
Marshmallow clouds float on by.
Plum purple sunsets,
And the blood red of the sun in the morning.
The violin of crickets and grasshoppers,
Gently play a calming tune.
The wind sounds through the bushes and trees,
Adding its own harmonious vibe to the song of the wild.
Lush green growing dark from light,
Pink and white apple buds.
An acre long bouquet of colors,
Passion pink, royal purple, and vibrant blue.
The whistles of those good morning bird songs,
Always there in the summer to keep you company.
Some scream and others whistle,
But always to say hello.
These are the sounds,
These are the colors,
These are nature.
So my newsletter did not go out this morning to some of the people who are supposed to get it. ugg. Has the world gone evil when I wasn't looking? See what happens when I actually take the time to sleep? lol. Last night I got a full 6 hours! Which is amazing since I have been not sleeping a lot. Great for my writing and finishing up tons of stories I had almost completed but never quite got there but not so great for my ability to function other than writing lol. Oh well for those that do not get my newsletter or were supposed to and didn't I will show you the pretty cover release announcement I chatted about yesterday.
Lola will have a hard time topping my love for this one. Before they were all tied and which one I loved most depended on the day. This one takes the cake. Its my official fave. Its
LOLA HAS COMPLETELY OUTDONE HERSELF!!! THIS IS MY FAVE COVER TO DATE!
Before I liked them all and which was my fave changed depended on the moment you asked me. I have to say this one takes the cake. Not by much mind you I still love the other babies but this one. There is a little something extra special about this one. It is literally the book in picture form. the back of the paperback version shows the worlds collapse, the front Lilia and how the world literally rests in her hands and the decision she must make. I cannot even begin to describe how excited I am. I am uploading them onto Amazon and BN now. They should be available for order soon! Then the buy links will go up!
look at this awesomeness posted on twitter!!!!!!
